Noah Proudfoot is a songwriter, producer, and DJ based in Asheville, North Carolina, blending silky vocals, R&B guitar, and poetic lyricism with folk-electronic and soulful medicine music. His third album, Born to Fly, recorded partly at Sacred Sound Studios in Costa Rica and funded by 171 Kickstarter backers, became his bridge to Latin America. It led to Envision Festival in Costa Rica, where he joined electronic producer Mose onstage to perform their song together, and to shows at Over the Rainbow in Costa Rica, Sonidos del Lago in Mexico, and Eagle's Nest in Guatemala. Back home, it carried him to festival stages across the US, including Burning Man, Sol Fest, Imagine Gathering, Revival Gathering, Conscious Growth Convergence, and High Vibe Fest.
His collaborations with Mose also include two singles and two music videos, one filmed at Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, highlighting the Indigenous communities and landscape surrounding the lake. Noah has also shared stages with Matisyahu, Gone Gone Beyond, Satsang, Yaima, and more, and in 2024 he was named National Winner of Matisyahu's "One Day" competition. His music sits comfortably beside artists like Trevor Hall, Ben Harper, and Iron & Wine.
Noah's path began with words. He earned a BA in Creative Writing with a concentration in poetry from UNC Asheville, and that foundation still shapes his songs, which are carefully built, emotionally direct, and meant to land. Over more than a decade as an independent artist, he has written and recorded more than 30 original songs across three albums: Sing Sweet World (2016), Travel Light (2018), and Born to Fly (2025). He has performed at TEDx, and in 2026 he received a South Arts Arts Readiness, Relief & Recovery Grant.
Beyond the singer-songwriter stage, Noah DJs "medicine bass" sets for the ecstatic dance community, moving rooms from stillness to celebration. He also produces for other artists, writes custom songs, and mentors musicians in live performance. As a certified yoga instructor and meditation teacher, he brings the same intention to every room: music as a practice of presence, connection, and encouragement on the shared journey of being human.
His forthcoming fourth album, Hemispheres, draws on his widening range of musical influences, while showcasing his depth and evolution as a producer. Hemispheres is scheduled for release in spring 2027 and promises to be his most expansive work yet.
